The proceeds of last year’s Charity T20 cricket match will be handed over to a leading NGO at a press conference to be held on Monday 5 February 2018 from 11:00am at the President’s Box, Queen’s Park Cricket Club.
The T20, played on 14 October 2017, saw the participation of West Indies biggest stars and enjoyed a sell-out crowd at the Queen’s Park Oval. The initiative was led by the TT Cricket Board and the QPCC with support from the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago and was intended to raise funds to assist in disaster relief for Caribbean nations affected by the passage of three major hurricanes in 2017.
Donations from the private sector as well as the public will be presented to United Way as they continue to provide much needed relief to the islands devastated by the powerful storms.
