Today, on International Women’s Day 2025, the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT) proudly celebrates the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women in sport and beyond. This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action“, challenges us to move beyond words and take bold, decisive steps toward gender equity in all areas of society.
SporTT recognises that sport is a powerful vehicle for change. We are committed to breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and fostering an inclusive sporting landscape where women and girls can thrive—whether as athletes, coaches, administrators, or leaders. Our mandate is clear: to ensure that sport in Trinidad and Tobago becomes a space where all individuals have the resources, support, and recognition they deserve.
This year, we reaffirm our commitment to:
✅ Expanding opportunities for women and girls in sport at all levels
✅ Championing policies that promote equity in leadership and decision-making
✅ Supporting female athletes with the resources needed to compete and excel
✅ Challenging biases and outdated norms that hinder progress
But this mission requires all of us. Let us work together—government agencies, sporting bodies, corporate partners, and the wider community—to accelerate the pace of change. Progress is not a passive process; it demands action, courage, and accountability.
