Ato Boldon Stadium

Ato Boldon Stadium, located in Couva, is named after the eight-time Olympic and World Championship medal winner and 1997 200 m World Champion, Ato Boldon. The stadium was constructed in 2001 and was officially opened by the Honourable Basdeo Panday, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago accompanied by the Honourable Manohar Ramsaran, Minister of Sport & Youth Affairs, and former FIFA Vice President Mr. Jack Austin Warner on Tuesday 24 July 2001 for the U-17 World Cup which was hosted by Trinidad and Tobago. It also hosted games from the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

  • CONCACAF Caribbean Women’s Qualifiers (2018)
  • CFU Women’s Challenge Series (2018)

ABS is the home of several clubs from various sporting disciplines, with the main one being professional football. Established clubs like W. Connection successfully host their tournaments at the ABS every year. The National Men and Women Teams use the stadium as their training centre. ABS was branded the Home of Football by the FIFA President on 10 April 2017. This facility now houses associations such as TTFA, TT Pro League, Super League, TT WOLF and SSFL.

CAPACITY:

  • The capacity of the Stadium is approximately 8050 persons
  • The VIP Room can accommodate approximately 50 persons (cocktail style)
  • The Conference Room holds 50 persons (theatre style)
