Party events to be cancelled SporTT venues

Hasely Crawford Stadium

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT) advise that, with immediate effect, Hasely Crawford Stadium and Jean Pierre Complex will not be considered as venues for fetes and parties.

This decision action follows the Government’s policy as announcement by the Honourable Mrs. Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, earlier today. Exceptions to this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis for events scheduled between the Thursday before Carnival and Carnival Tuesday, subject to strict guidelines. All approved events must be held between 12 noon and 10 p.m. only.

In accordance with these changes, SporTT will officially notify all promoters, agents and organisations. Existing bookings that do not comply with this new policy will be cancelled and downpayments will be refunded to applicants.

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and SporTT reaffirm their commitment to supporting Trinidad and Tobago’s athletes by maintaining access to quality facilities for training and competition.
