Bermuda Delegation gets first-hand look at SporTT Facilities in Couva

SporTT hosts Bermuda delegation

Officials of Bermuda and SporTT during the tour of the National Aquatic Centre. From left to right are Senior Sports Development Officer Mr. Jekon Edness, Honourable Owen K. Darrell, JP, MP, Bermuda’s Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport, SporTT CEO Mr. Jason Williams, Bermuda National Sports Centre Facilities Manager Mr. Steven Warner Douglas and Mr. Chad Johnson, Facilities Manager, SporTT.

Couva’s National Aquatic Centre and National Cycling Velodrome played host to a delegation from Bermuda, let by The Honourable Owen K. Darrell, JP, MP, Bermuda’s Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport earlier today.

Both venues are managed and maintained by the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd. (SporTT). The tour was led by SporTT CEO Mr. Jason Williams, and featured members of the Facilities Management Team, including Facilities Manager Mr. Chad Johnson. Also part of Bermuda’s delegation were Senior Sports Development Officer Mr. Jekon Edness and National Sports Centre Facilities Manager Mr. Steven Warner Douglas.

The delegation is in Trinidad and Tobago for tonight’s 9 p.m. clash between Trinidad and Tobago’s senior men’s national football team and their Bermuda counterparts at Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port of Spain.

The Bermuda delegation also meet with other key local sport stakeholders today, including Honourable Phillip Watts, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs.
