Moruga Multi-purpose Youth & Sport Facility

The Moruga community has a sport-loving community and has produced outstanding sporting talent such as ex-West Indies captain Merissa Aguilleira and former national Under-17 skipper Akiel Cooper.

Moruga Multi-Purpose Sport and Youth Facility (MMSYF), which was opened in August 2020, gives young Moruga residents a space to learn, stay active and develop their love for sport, while honing their natural abilities. Situated on 9.25 acres of State lands along the Moruga Main Road, the facility features a multi-purpose ground, including a cricket pitch and two football fields.

 Its covered pavilion can accommodate 500 spectators.
