Woodbrook Youth Facility: An Allrounder in the Game

During its reopening ceremony on May 1^st, 1998, Woodbrook Youth Facility (WYF) was dedicated to the youth of Port of Spain and Environs. Since then, the facility has maintained that promise, providing a space for sporting activities and a range of non-sporting events.

Hockey, gymnastics, basketball and even football regularly grace the indoor court at WYF. In addition to the National Indoor Hockey Championships, several hockey clubs hold their indoor events at WYF, which also hosts national team training.

Woodbrook Youth Facility is also a favourite for gymnastics events hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Gymnastics Federation and its related clubs.

Woodbrook Youth Facility, however, isn’t just about the on-court action. It’s also a space where people of all ages—with a special focus on youth—can come together to socialise, host education programmes and physical activities or simply take a ‘sweat’.

The WYF pavilion has a capacity of close to 300 patrons, and the indoor court can hold up to 1,000 guests (theatre-style seating). The Conference Room facilitates (round table) meetings for up to 20 attendees, and there is a multipurpose room for up to 100 persons.
