The fire continues at the Pan American Track Cycling Championships in Santiago, and Team TTO is delivering.

🥇 Men’s Keirin – GOLD (58.594s)
Nicholas Paul delivered a commanding performance in the final, storming to gold in 58.594 seconds. Explosive finish. Big-stage energy!

Njisane Philip also made the final and fought hard to secure 4th place in a stacked field.

🥉 Men’s Scratch Race – BRONZE
Akil Campbell rode a smart, tactical race to earn bronze. Calm decisions. Strong execution. Podium secured.

💥 Women’s Sprint
Kyra, Phoebe and Makaira Wallace all powered into Round 1, with Makaira advancing to the quarterfinals. Strength across the board.

⚡ Women’s Elimination Race
Alexi Ramirez battled her way to an impressive 8th-place finish, placing among the top ten.

Gold. Bronze. Finals. Top-ten finishes!

While T&T was in full Carnival celebration, Nikoli Blackman was making mas of his own on the collegiate stage! 

The Tennessee Volunteer delivered TWO clutch relay performances at the 2026 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships, powering the Men’s 800-yard freestyle relay to 🥈 SILVER and a SCHOOL RECORD 6:10.31! 💪🏽🔥 That’s Tennessee’s first medal in the event since 2014!

As if that weren’t enough, Blackman also helped the 200-yard medley relay clock 1:22.48, the fifth-fastest time in programme history. 🚀

The Vols sit 2nd overall, and we are so proud to see our own making such an impact on the biggest collegiate stage.

Yesterday, our riders lit up the track at the Pan American Track Cycling Championships in Santiago** and today the action continues!

Here’s how Day 1 went down:
🚴🏾‍♂️ New National Record – Men’s Team Pursuit (4:09)
Tariq Woods, Akil Campbell, Jadian Neaves and Liam Trepte delivered a historic ride, stopping the clock at 4:09 to set a brand new national benchmark. Precision. Power. Composure.

🥇 GOLD – Women’s Scratch Race
Teniel Campbell put on a tactical masterclass, lapping the field to secure a commanding gold medal. Calm, calculated… then clinical.

🥉 BRONZE – Men’s Team Sprint (44.038)
Zion Pulido, Kwesi Browne and Nicholas Paul blasted to bronze with a 44.038 effort that showed serious firepower.

Rising star Oshea Cummings delivered a dominant performance at the Camperdown Classic in Kingston, Jamaica, storming to gold in the girls’ Class 3 800m. The Hydel High School standout clocked a personal best 2:16.45 to win comfortably ahead of Jamaica’s Aneka Lowe (2:18.77).

Sprint sensation Shaniqua Bascombe was also impressive, grabbing silver in the women’s 60m in a blazing 7.23 seconds. In a headline moment, Bascombe finished ahead of Jamaican legend Elaine Thompson-Herah, the five-time Olympic gold medallist, who crossed the line third in 7.24. Levanya Williams took the win in 7.17.

In the boys’ Class 1 100m, Makaelan Woods clocked 10.68 to finish first in his section and eighth overall, while Anderson Burris ran 48.15 in the men’s 400m.

Meanwhile, at the Perth Track Classic in Australia, Nathan Cumberbatch produced a sensational personal best 1:45.64 in the men’s 800m to place fifth,surpassing the World Indoors qualifying standard of 1:45.90.
