The Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT), in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Intellectual Property Office (TTIPO), hosted a virtual seminar in commemoration of World Intellectual Property Day 2026 under the theme “IP and Sport: Ready, Set, Innovate.”
This panel discussion explores the growing role of intellectual property in sport development, athlete branding, broadcasting, innovation and commercialization, featuring internationally recognised experts Dr. Emil Crown, Dr. Thomas Farkas, Dr. Justin Koo and TTIPO Technical Examiner Nicholas Gayahpersad, moderated by SporTT’s Head of Partnerships and Alliances Services, Kairon Serrette.
The discussion forms part of ongoing efforts by SporTT and TTIPO to increase awareness of intellectual property and innovation within the sporting sector.
