Details:

• DYS was named after Dwight Eversley Yorke, a local footballer hailing from Canaan, Tobago.
• DYS is often used by the National Association of Athletic Administrations of Trinidad & Tobago, Tobago House of Assembly –Division of Sport & Youth Affairs & Division of Education, Innovation & Energy, Tobago Athletic Committee, Tobago Secondary School Track & Field Committee, and the Tobago Primary School Track & Field Committee for numerous training and developmental programs along with local and regional competitions.
• The Dwight Yorke Stadium is only minutes from the capital of Tobago, Scarborough, and 25 minutes from Tobago’s airport. It was constructed for the 2001 FIFA Under 17 World Championships, which was hosted in that year by Trinidad and Tobago.
