The Woodbrook Youth Facility (WYF) was reopened on May 1st 1998 by the Honourable Pamela Nicholson (the then Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs) and was dedicated to the young people of Port of Spain.
WYF is the home of a number of clubs from various sporting disciplines, with the main one being Indoor Hockey. Hockey clubs include the Shandy Carib Magnolias who successfully hosts their indoor tournaments at the WYF every year. The Magnolias have been successful in winning National indoor Championships, Super Indoor Championships and Invitationals. Ventures Hockey Club holds the 2011 National Indoor Championship held in January at the WYF. In January 2009 they won their own Tournament as well as the Shandy Carib Magnolias Tournament. Other home teams include Paragon Hockey Club and Malvern Sports Club.
WYF is also the home of Gymnastics. Every year there are various National Tournaments and Invitationals held by various clubs and the Trinidad and Tobago Gymnastics Federation. In 2011, the Trinidad and Tobago Gymnastics Federation held a one week FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Coaching Course at the WYF.
Basketball and Indoor Football are also held at the WYF mainly for training purposes and yearly Tournaments.
