April 27, 2021, Balmain, Couva: The Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (SporTT) is pleased to announce the release of the Trinidad and Tobago Sport Participation Survey 2021, done in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI).
The survey, released virtually to the public today, seeks to determine the economic contribution of sport and recreational activity to the country. Questions range from where you play, to what level of play you engage in, whether professional or recreational.
Speaking on the public release SporTT CEO, Jason Williams noted, “I am really pleased to see that this survey is being put forward to the public, especially now during the restrictions and when
sporting facilities are closed to the public and when the sport National Governing Bodies (NGBs) are doing in-house and administrative alignments. Additionally, the results from this survey will be a great addition to our toolbox as we continue to engineer our Sports for All mandate.”
SporTT is powered by the vision to be the leader in the sporting industry’s innovation and sustainable development initiatives and this survey is a major move towards operationalizing that
Vision.
CEO of TTCSI Vashti Guyadeen says, “the survey launch in partnership with SporTT is a milestone for Trinidad and Tobago and being an association that is powered by data, we are glad to be playing an integral part in producing and collecting SMART data for the use of not just SporTT but for the entire country.”
