World Children's Day is celebrated annually on Nov World Children's Day is celebrated annually on November 20th. World Children's Day is a day to promote children's rights, well-being, and to raise awareness about issues affecting children globally 🌎 This year’s theme is “Inclusion, for every child”. This theme means that every child belonging to any society, community or nationality is entitled to equal rights. It calls on adults to listen to the future 🤝🏽 By listening to children, we can fulfil their right to self-expression, understand their ideas for a better world and include their priorities in our actions today ♻️ What happens on World Children’s Day? From children taking over to the world turning blue, World Children's Day is marked through a variety of events and activities focused on elevating children's voices and priorities. On 20 November, UNICEF, partners, governments, businesses, parents, teachers and children around the world shine a light on children’s rights and call on world leaders to accelerate the actions needed to protect and fulfill the rights of every child, without discrimination 🗣️ In the past, famous landmarks from around the world have joined the campaign including the Eiffel Tower in France, Chichen Itza in Mexico and hundreds of historic buildings in India 🗼 Stay tuned for more updates between now and Wednesday about World Children's Day ‼️ #SporTTSupports #Children #EqualOpportunities #KidsInSports #TrinidadandTobago #WorldChildrensDay #Inclusion

🚴‍♂️🌎 Level Up in Para-Cycling Coachin 🚴‍♂️🌎 Level Up in Para-Cycling Coaching! 🌎🚴‍♀️ #HappeningNow The UCI World Cycling Centre (WCC), in partnership with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the UCI WCC Continental Development Satellite, operated by the Trinidad & Tobago Cycling Federation (TTCF), is hosting a Level 2 Para-Cycling Coaching Course commencing today November 18th until Friday 22nd, at the National Cycling Velodrome. 🌎This groundbreaking course brings together coaches and para-cycling athletes from across the Caribbean and Central America, including: 🇹🇹 Trinidad and Tobago 🇦🇼 Aruba 🇧🇧 Barbados 🇨🇴 Colombia 🇸🇻 El Salvador 🇬🇩 Grenada 🇵🇦 Panama 🇸🇷 Suriname 🇻🇮 US Virgin Islands 👨‍🏫Led by Stephen Burke, a former Canadian para-cycling coach and UCI course conductor, alongside T&T’s facilitator Richard Sheppard, this initiative promotes inclusive and high-performance coaching to elevate para-cycling across the region. 🚴‍♂️💬 Burke stated that the course is an important opportunity for coaches and athletes to learn and interact with other para-cyclists. Community Day Break Games: La Fillette Recap 🎉✨ Last Saturday the Community Day Break Games continued with a day of sports and fun at the La Fillette Recreational Ground. ⚽🥅 ️ Around 100 boys and girls took part in netball, football, and novelty games for children.
