HEAD, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
JOB PURPOSE:
The incumbent is required to manage all internal and external messaging throughout SporTT, while leading a team of professionals. They will be work closely with the Board, CEO and Management Team, providing professional advice relative to Corporate Communications issues, ensure messaging is projected to organisational standards, throughout all possible resources enabling SporTT to fulfil its mandate.
Duties include providing strategic oversight for all SporTT communication strategies, maintaining the effective use of the corporate brand and managing media relations and the events portfolio of the organisation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A recognised University Degree in Mass Communication, Business Management, Communications Studies, Journalism or Marketing and/or postgraduate qualification in a related field;
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience marketing and communications field with at least three (3) years’ experience in a senior management position;
- Three (3) years’ experience in media, communications or journalism;
- Experience the Public Sector in a related field would be considered an asset.
Or any equivalent combination of qualification and experience.
COMPETENCIES:

ASSISTANT, RESERVATIONS
JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will be required to manage inbound and outgoing phone calls, email request and face-to-face interactions with a friendly, helpful approach for customers requesting use of SporTT’s various sporting & event facilities. They will seek to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and collaborate with cross-functional leaders internally to deliver consistently excellent customer experiences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate in Sport or Recreation Management, Event Management, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Public Relations or related field from an accredited institution.
- Five (5) CXC passes including Mathematics and English.
- Certificate in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
AND
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in hospitality, sport management or a related field.
Considered an Asset
- Conversational Spanish
- Proficient in the use of virtual meeting platforms and related technology
Or any equivalent combination of qualification and experience.
COMPETENCIES:
We are in search of an individual who is, customer focused, results-oriented, meticulous, and possessed excellent communication skills. The individual should possess considerable knowledge of negotiation and mediation, experience dealing with multiple partners and stakeholders, including sport organizations, corporate partners, government departments and others.
