Site Technician

JOB PURPOSE:

The incumbent reports to the Head of Projects Execution and provides supervisory, technical, and organizing function at SPORTT’s construction projects.  The role supports engineers, architects, project managers, and subcontractors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate Degree in Building & Civil Engineering or equivalent education
  • A CAPE qualification in science; and
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Considered an Asset

  • Experience of construction and working with construction materials.
  • Knowledge of health and safety codes of practice/ legislation.

Or any equivalent combination of qualification and experience 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to work constructively using own initiative in the absence of senior staff and as part of a team.
