Youth Sport Camps kick off August 12
Hundreds of children will join Youth Sport Camps 2024 every weekday from August 12-23 at venues across Trinidad and Tobago.
The Camps will host youth ages 7-17 at 30 indoor and outdoor locations, including 13 in Tobago, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily.
Participants will be introduced to 18 sporting disciplines: athletics, basketball, boxing, cricket, chess, cycling, dragon boat, football, futsal, golf, gymnastics, hockey, netball, rugby, tennis, sailing, swimming and volleyball.
Registration for the camps is free, and lunch will be provided to participants.
Youth Sport Camps is a flagship development programme that seeks to introduce children to a variety of sports during the July-August vacation period. It encourages participants to get active, develop new sporting skills and increase their interest in sport, while learning new life skills.
The Camps are hosted by the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and the I Choose Sport initiative.
To register their children for the camps, parents can visit https://forms.office.com/r/unBT08fB7v and fill out the forms required or check out SporTT on Facebook and Instagram.
