Refurbishment of Jean Pierre Complex commenced today (September 9) and is scheduled to be completed within eight months.
The project is being managed by the Urban Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT) and conducted by contractor Moosai Development Construction (Caribbean) Limited. The repairs include the refinishing of floors and walls, painting, and refurbishment of the concession areas.
The scope of works also includes replacement of the ceiling, windows, doors and seating, washroom and roof repairs and installation of the scoreboard.
This is the first major renovation of the multi-sport venue, which was constructed to host the 1979 World Netball Championships.
The Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT) looks forward to the return of Jean Pierre Complex to the service of national sport.
