🇹🇹 ‘UCI Level II Coaches Course’ to enha 🇹🇹 ‘UCI Level II Coaches Course’ to enhance athlete development in the region! 🚴🏽‍♂️💨

Tyrone Johns, Performance Coach – Sprint Disciplines at the UCI World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Switzerland, explained the purpose and benefits of the hosting the UCI certified coaches course right here in Trinidad and Tobago 📋

By utilising the National Cycling Velodrome in Couva as the UCI WCC America Continental Satellite Centre for the region and offering programmes like these, Johns aims to develop the mindsets and the approach to coaching elite cyclists in the area ✅

17 individuals including T&T’s Olympians, Nicholas Paul and Kwesi Browne, are participating in this ‘UCI Level II Coaches Training Course’ which is scheduled to conclude this Sunday (8th June 2025) 💪🏽

The coaches are working alongside the ‘UCI Level I Cycling Training Camp’ as they are putting the theories learnt to practical use during the sessions at the NCV to help develop the junior athletes 🛠️

✨ It all kicked off with an inspiring tour of the SPORTT Couva facilities — including the National Aquatic Centre, Cycling Velodrome, and Ato Boldon Stadium!

💼 Followed by a Career and Empowerment Day, where students explored how sport can open doors to exciting careers and personal growth.
