🇹🇹 Trinidad and Tobago’s Jereem Richards g 🇹🇹 Trinidad and Tobago’s Jereem Richards graced the podium against a world-class field in the men’s 200 metres event at the Wanda Diamond League in Doha, Qatar 🏃🏾💨

Yesterday, Richards clocked 20.15 seconds to sneak a hard-fought bronze behind the American duo of Noah Lyles (19.72s) and Fred Kerley (19.75s) 🥉

TT’s sprinter pipped six-time Olympic medallist and reigning Olympic 200m champion Andre De Grasse (Canada) to the line, as he also clocked 20.15s which needed a ‘photo finish’ to separate the pair 📸

This result marked Richards’ first Diamond League podium finish 💪🏾

🇹🇹 T&T’s netball umpire Joel Young-Strong 🇹🇹 T&T’s netball umpire Joel Young-Strong has been given an International Netball Umpire Award (INUA) Testing Panel (ITP) Cadet status, following a recommendation from the Trinidad and Tobago Netball Association (TTNA) in line with World Netball procedures 🙌🏾

The International Netball Federation (INF) recently made the official announcement of the new appointment on their website ✅

Young-Strong is currently one of two Cadets from the Americas region and the third Trinidadian to be awarded this position (following Anne-Marie Dixon-Lewis and Brenda Prince) 👍🏾 

Young-Strong began her career in 1982 is now in her 13th year of umpiring at international level after being promoted to the INF in 2008 👏🏾

The Under-15 combination of Malik Gopaul, Sekel McIntosh and Ethan Ramcharan were beaten 3-0 by the Dominican Republic 🥉

Earlier in the morning session, T&T beat Grenada 3-1 in their second and final round-robin Group A match to end with a 1-1 record, behind unbeaten Puerto Rico 🙌🏾

Dookie defeated her opponent Cameron Wong as she retired after trailing 5-2 in the first set 🎾

Earlier, Dookie combined with Nathan Martin to win the A Division Mixed Doubles Final 6-2, 6-4 over Jamal Alexis and Wong 6-2, 6-4 💪🏾
